Praise God for Salvation & Baptism!

I got the opportunity to go to our church's baptism service this week. I never go because my kids nap at 1 on Sunday and the service is usually at 1:30 and it just does not work to make my kids wait or not nap or whatever. This was a special service for me though so we got a babysitter!! First, one of good friend's Emily's sons were being baptized and second, Millie who I posted about here, here and here got baptized. I was overjoyed to see someone who the Lord so graciously allowed me to meet and share Him with get baptized. It was so awesome! Praise God for our church baptizing so many people so far this year; may He always receive all the glory, honor, and praise!!!!

Living Hope's VBS

We had such a good week at VBS! Our church had 131 kids come through the doors this week (and we emphasize that we do not count numbers to say "yah us" but that every number equals a soul that could potentially need Christ!) We had 5 little kiddos come to know the Lord which is what it is all about! I worked registration and registered the 1st and 2nd graders and counseled a girl one day that came to know the Lord! It was so fun!! Annabelle and Adelyn had fun in the little nursery too! The last day Annabelle even got to eat a snow cone which is LOVED and was hyper for like an hour afterward! haha!! I really enjoyed getting to spend time with some of the people in my church without my kiddos! Also, the Kirby Woods team came with their awesome puppets and did puppet shows every day which the kids (especially Annabelle) looked forward to! Annabelle said "puppet" probably 50 times a day last week; it was so cute! Overall, it was a wonderful week; I was so excited that the Lord allowed me to lead someone to Him!

BIG NEWS!!!

What a wonderful day! I have BIG news! Millie, the lady in this post accepted Christ!!! She had been telling me that she believed in God but I thought she did not fully understand that she had to put her trust in Him and have a relationship with Him but she did understand! Today at church she marked the "I accepted Christ" box on her little sheet you put in the offering plate and so someone called me to tell me she accepted Christ today and so I called her and asked her if something happened to her today and she said no. I proceeded to tell her that I knew she had checked the "I accepted Christ" box at church today (I know that sounds funny...) and she said "oh yes, that." She explained that she accepted Christ a little while ago but was having a hard time explaining it. I asked her what her experience was like and she said that she had just believed in Jesus for a long time but just decided to really follow Him. You see, it is so hard for her because of the language barrier thing. (She is Bulgarian.) She also explained to me that she really was hungry for the Bible and what it says and that all the sudden she is wanting to tell her neighbors about Jesus! How awesome! I am soooo thankful that Millie will now be with me in heaven! I am also thankful that the Lord allowed me to see her come to Christ; it just helps me so much just getting back from seeing friends and family in Memphis and missing them but knowing that things like this are why I am here! Thank you Jesus!!

Also, I wanted to update everyone on Adleyn. She is doing soooooo much better. I really think it is a combination of prayers, and the things all the doctors have told us to do for her that are really helping her a ton! I am so thankful that above all else she does not have episodes of crying out in pain for hours, those just broke my heart! She is definitely not sleeping that well yet but I think she just has to learn and now that we are getting better from everything else she is probably going to start trying to get some teeth if she isn't already!

On a completely different note, we went to a birthday party today for a sweet little boy named Reid. Adam and I have just become friends with his parents because they came to our church and we just get along with them so well and have lots in common with them which is nice.

Reid's party theme was bugs! :) I thought this was such a cute idea!

Annabelle really loves our friend James (Ryley's daddy.) He "had" to hold her a lot at the party today. Annabelle at church kept saying "Wywee" for Ryley but she wasn't there today. It was so cute though; Annabelle misses her friend!

That's all for now! I have a cold so I am going to take Nyquill and hopefully feel better tomorrow. Good luck to Adam with both of the monitors tonight! :)

I love them!

Yesterday we went to Millie's house for dinner. It was fun. Annabelle plays so well there and it is all child proof because she has a 20 month old too! I gave her a Message bible so that she might could understand our bible study better because she mentioned it was hard to understand the King James Version with the language barrier and I told her it was hard to understand without the language barrier! :) Anyway, she wrote me a "thank you" note today that was so sweet. These are some pictures we took right before we left and I just LOVE them (the pictures and the people!)

Millie

Look what I got the other day, a candy bar from Bulgaria! It was oh so yummy! My sweet tooth is out of control these days and I can do nothing to stop it! I keep going in circles trying to decide if I am eating so much because Adelyn is so big and strictly breastfeed or she is so big because I eat so much! Don't worry, I am not thinking about this too much and most definitely not too concerned about it at this point. Ok, so back to the candy bar, my friend, Millie, who I met on the playground one day, she is from Bulgaria. We have had 2 playdates now and I am getting closer and closer to sharing the gospel with her. See, I really want her to know that I care about her and that I am not just trying to shove my "religion" in her face and so I have held off and waited for the opportunity and the prompting from the Holy Spirit. We have talked about religion and how she grew up and what she and her husband think about the church etc etc etc and so I have a feeling a gospel presentation is coming up and I am sooo excited about it! You know, whenever I am down about being so far away from my family and being in such a weird seasonal place and things like that, the Lord always reminds me why I am here and it is to share Him with people like Millie. I pray daily that God will use me to lead her to Him. Will you pray for her too??

My little princess

Annabelle wanted to wear her crown this morning! So precious! I love this picture because you can see her sweet little baby belly too! I weighed her today and the scale said 26 lbs! Wow! I can't wait for her dr appointment next week! He is letting me bring Annabelle and Adelyn in together for their 18 and 4 month appointments.

Oh and you can see the mullet in this pic:)

On to other news, the Fishers came to visit us Monday through Thursday morning of this week. I'll post pictures soon. Also, Millie, aka the lady I met at the playground, (I would link the post but I'm on my iPhone) she has come to church the past two weeks and we had a playdate this week! We have small talked about church etc. I hope to share the gospel with her soon! Please pray for her and me!
