Thankful Tuesday

On this Thankful Tuesday I am especially thankful for health. I'm thankful that I am healthy and that my kiddos are too. I held a precious adopted girl for a while yesterday who was Annabelle's age but had no muscle mass to move and play and it just overwhelmed me at how blessed I am that right now God has given me healthy children.

Motherhood is so wonderful and so hard but it's always good to gain perspective on how blessed I really am. My deepest desire is that Ab, Ad, and Abe grow to know The Lord falling in love with Him and His word and that they would glorify Him with their lives!

I know that Jesus draws their little hearts to him but that it is my job to be an example of someone who loves Jesus and lives like it and sometimes I stink at that. I have realized this week that I am lacking in self control with my mouth in a big way and that I need to constantly be asking Jesus to help me with this. I had this realization in a few ways this week but one of them was through my child mentioning that Adam and I aren't on the same page sometimes because of things I say around her. Ouch! Those little hears sure do hear everything and I can teach them the words: "be kind and compassionate to each other..." Eph 4:32 but if I don't live them I'm not sure how far those words really go in their little brains. Anyway, like I always say with sin; it's just a reason to turn around and scream, "I need you Jesus" so that's what I am doing this week!

It's been a wonderful week full of friends, family, a party, and lots of lots of late night summer fun! I am thankful for these last few weeks of summer fun before kindergarten. I am so thankful for all God has given me.

That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever! Psalm 30:12

Thankful Tuesday

I am going to have to do a list again for THANKFUL TUESDAY because this post is the longest one ever! I am kinda playing catch up!
1) We had such a great Thanksgiving! We are thankful for any time we get to spend with our families!
 2) The girls had such a great time playing outside in nice nice weather!!

 3) We got to see my grandparents and my dad's side of the family on Thursday. The girls had a blast with their second cousins and we ate some yummy yummy food!
 4) We traveled to Little Rock to see Adam's side of the family which included a family dance, a gold tournament, a granny walk, meals galore, and lots of sister in law and cousin time!

 5) My mom came to Little Rock and spent the night on Friday night so we all got to see and spend time with her too, Annabelle even got to have a slumber party with Lala!

6) We had no idea we would get to see Gigi and GePaw on Sunday night! We got yummy Huey's and ice cream and had such a great time!
 7) Ok, here is where I am backing up. I will preface this with we have have the opportunity to spend some quality time with such great people lately and we are upper thankful for our friends and family!

 8) So, we are thankful for the visit from the Fishers! We got to do some really neat things! The ice cream store at one of our favorite malls was opening and they were giving out free ice cream! So, we all got some and it was delish! We also visited Rockey's! It was the Fisher's first time! Oh and Marmie brought us new pajamas!!

 9) One of the girl's best friend's Maddie had a b-day party at the gymnastics place! The girls loved every second of it. It was such a fun fun party! So thankful for sweet friends and friends that had kids the same time I did!

 10) I got to celebrate my friend Carmyn's new baby coming!

 11) So thankful for fun parties and friends! We went to our first ever gender reveal party! I guesses a girl (hence the headband!) and I was right!!

 12) Thankful that His word continually convicts my heart. It's so hard, but so good for me. "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

I have been in Romans 14:10-13
10 Why do you criticize and pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you look down upon or despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.
11 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise].
12 And so each of us shall give an account of himself [give an answer in reference to judgment] to God.
13 Then let us no more criticize and blame and pass judgment on one another, but rather decide and endeavor never to put a stumbling block or an obstacle or a hindrance in the way of a brother.

Whew! I have so much to be thankful for!

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Adelyn's Potty Trained!

This little sweet girl is potty trained! It was such a breeze compared to the last time! I am grateful and thankful the Lord spared me from the experiences I had last time! :) She really had the potty training thing a few days after she started but I kept waiting for her to revert or something but she didn't, having her sister to help really helped a lot. Now they go potty together. :)

I am so proud of Adelyn! She's definitely not my little baby anymore (but we will still be calling her baby in case you were wondering.) I cannot believe I don't have any babies in diapers! We had two in diapers for soo long or at least it felt like it.
On the 3rd of July after baths we had a "Adelyn is Potty Trained" party. Adelyn got to decorate her own cookie cake. She chose blue icing and green sprinkles. This was one of her first "parties" for doing something we were proud of her for so it was special! I told her to say "cheese" and this was her face. Love how much she likes to be silly, just like her daddy!

The Zoo & Annabelle's "No More Pull Ups" Party

This morning we ventured out to the zoo. The weather said a 30% chance of rain and so we brought the umbrella and Ab wanted to hold it in the car. I turned around to check on the girls and she was doing this; we died laughing!
We had a great time and got to see lots of animals today!
Annabelle even got really close to some duckies!

and we rode the carousel.
We also got to play on a really fun little playground
And our favorite was seeing the big brown bear. He got soo close to us. I am so glad the girls are a little bit older and more manageable at the zoo now. It's fun for all of us!
Tonight we had a mini party (as in I made a cake :) ) for Annabelle because it has been almost 2 weeks since she has worn a pull up at night!
It's really any reason to celebrate around here. :) I told her I got pink icing because I knew it was her favorite color and that she was really special to me; she smiled so big like she understood; it melted my heart!
We have started making our own sprinkles and for this cake she picked green.
She always has a blast making them and putting them on the cake.

What a big girl! I am so blessed to have her! I cannot believe how fast she is growing up! She has been talking soo much about Jesus lately and it just blesses my heart (I sound like my grandma ha!) but I sooo mean it. It is so special and such an important job to teach another little person about my Savior. Although I know I will ALWAYS make mistakes (and a lot of them!); it just makes me so thankful to me a mom.

I am so thankful for this fun family time!

Sweet Kisses & a Christmas Party

We have Christmas clothes galore. My mom sent some from a consignment sale in Arkansas and then I got a couple, Adelyn has Ryley's adorable hand me downs and Adelyn has Annabelle's old Christmas dresses. So, it looks like the girls will be in Christmas clothes until Christmas, which I think is sooo fun!! People told me it was so fun to dress girls but it is WAY more fun than anyone can explain!! I love it!

I just love it when I can catch the girls kissing!

or rocking each other in the rocking chair

It makes life so fun when they are sweet to each other!

Annabelle insisted that she rock with the baby on her lap but the baby wasn't as big of a fan as Annabelle was of this.

I was trying to hold Adelyn while I was taking this picture and that is why it ended up so close; I like them though!

This was Annabelle's reaction to the baby really not wanting to sit in her lap. haha!

If I am going to feed Adelyn anything I take her nice dresses off because she is bound to stain them! I just thought she was too cute playing in her bow and tights!!

Thursday night we had our church's women's Christmas Party. Adam took this picture right before I left. I made them Spaghetti Bake and Adam said he was cleaning up Spaghetti for an hour! haha!

Emily probably hates me for posting this picture but I love her and wanted to post a pic with her. :) Also, after posting these pics I realize I have GOT to go and get my bangs trimmed!!! Working on that today! :)

It was a GREAT party! There were lost of women who I wish could have come because I would have loved to talk with them without my kiddos around but I had a great time talking with the women who were there!! Kim, also made the Spiced Carmel Apple Cider from Starbucks and it tasted exactly like the one from Starbucks!!! I am going to have to get some of that Starbucks cinnamon for Christmas!!
