Adelyn's Potty Trained!

This little sweet girl is potty trained! It was such a breeze compared to the last time! I am grateful and thankful the Lord spared me from the experiences I had last time! :) She really had the potty training thing a few days after she started but I kept waiting for her to revert or something but she didn't, having her sister to help really helped a lot. Now they go potty together. :)

I am so proud of Adelyn! She's definitely not my little baby anymore (but we will still be calling her baby in case you were wondering.) I cannot believe I don't have any babies in diapers! We had two in diapers for soo long or at least it felt like it.
On the 3rd of July after baths we had a "Adelyn is Potty Trained" party. Adelyn got to decorate her own cookie cake. She chose blue icing and green sprinkles. This was one of her first "parties" for doing something we were proud of her for so it was special! I told her to say "cheese" and this was her face. Love how much she likes to be silly, just like her daddy!

Randoms

This little sweet faced girl is potty training. It is not even half as painful this go around and before you hate me for saying that just remember that I almost literally keeled over trying to potty train Annabelle so I could send her to preschool. (Annabelle is the reason I got Dobson's "Strong Willed Child.")
Anyway, this morning Adelyn wanted to take her "daddy" to church with her. haha :) What a cutie.
Leaving church today Annabelle would not stop disobeying so I took her in the bathroom and very loudly explained to her why she was getting "in trouble." When I walked out of the bathroom there was a mom standing there who said, "I'm glad to hear we have the same type problems." haha I guess I was a little too loud.
Anyway, just enjoying being their mama.
This week is the beloved Dance Camp. We are very excited to say the least :)

Sweet Baby Dolls- Random Fun

I found these pics from a few Sundays ago that I forgot to post and decided I had to post them. I LOVE the outfit that Annabelle has on. I think I got it at a baby shower I had for Annabelle and the dress Adelyn has on is one of my most favorite Annabelle dresses!
I just had to post Annabelle in the dress too! The girls looks so little.
I have not posted much lately because potty training has take over my life. haha. It's going well, we only have accidents occasionally. I most definitely learned my lessons about putting a time line on potty training. I am very very encouraged that Ab will be going to school though on September 8th!!!
As you can see we did sneak out a few times this week. I decided I "needed" sonic...haha...as so we went and I took the little potty in the van and Ab went right when we got there and then she told me when she had to go and she would jump in the van and go.

It was funny but worked out good. Adam convinced me to go to rocky's the same night and it was good in that we got to hang out with the Fulks but not so good in that we pushed Ab too much that day and she had 2 accidents that night. :(
On a completely new topic, yesterday when Annabelle woke up from her nap, she had this outfit on. She is in a big girl bed now and so she goes through all of her (used to be organized) drawers and throws clothes everywhere and tries on everything. She just looked so funny be bopping around in this little outfit! (It is a skirt btw!)
And this little girl. Sheesh. I lover her to pieces but I told Adam last night, "What in the world makes me think I can handle any more children (one day...not now....don't worry) These two are a handful. Look at these faces. haha!
The other day though, Ad and I were reading the book where you have to find all of the things on the page that I tell her to point to and she knew almost everyone of them. I was sooo impressed because she really doesn't talk all that much. Little smarty pants!
Also, yesterday I went to run some errands and took Ad with me and she took her cars with her (cars that some little boys must have left at our house sometime.) She just LOVES boy toys! It is so funny; she is such a tomboy. I have been in birthday party mode for Ab and I thought, "Am I going to have to have a cars b-day party for Ad?! My little girl?!?!" haha.
Last night, we went swimming and A and A had a tea party. I really am so glad they have each other! It reminded me of some of the first tea parties they ever had together!
So, last night when I was walking with some friends Adam was bathing the girls and took this "Peekaboo" video. (Don't worry it shows NOTHING inappropriate!) Soo cute though!!

And last but not least, @nhershoes made this salad off instagram and I saw it and decided I had to make it! It was soooooooo delish! I don't have a recipe or I would post it, I just threw all the ingredients in by eye-balling it. I felt like the key ingredient was the purple onions! Yum!

I think today I might get brave and decide to take Annabelle to McDonalds and see if she will go potty in the little potty there. She has been doing so well and will finally go potty on the big potty and not just her little princess pottty! We will see how it goes!! Happy Weekend!!

Thankful Tuesday

It's Thankful Tuesday today and I am thankful for our potty day yesterday and praying it keeps going well so Annabelle can go to preschool in a little over  month! Crazy but so exciting! Yah for strong willed children and them making up their minds to do something. Until yesterday we were having accidents all.the.time. but yesterday AB just decided she was going to do it and well you see the results! I'm so thankful!

The reason for and the first Thankful Tuesday post can be found here.

What are you thankful for today?

Week in Review/Potty/Kisses/Ice Cream & More!

We had a good week here! After Brit left on Tuesday :( I tried to stay home as much as possible to work on potty training. Annabelle does sooooo well at our house but once we leave our house she doesn't want to go.

I know this is normal and it doesn't even "bother" me, I just am not sure the best approach for her. I know she is kinda scared of big pottys and I know that will get better! Today I did take her potty to church and she went there so that was exciting!
Adam and I laugh because the way I got her to go in the first place was telling her I was going to throw away her bathing suit if she peed in it again. haha! That girl loves her some clothes!
The Lord decided to lead me through calm My Anxious Heart again with a friend and I am so excited about doing it again. I feel like it is one of those books I should just continuously read! Have you ever had a book like that?
We have soo many things we could do this week but I'm not sure how far to push Ab. Any advice. Would it be better to stay home and work on getting comfortable or will she "go" in strange places when she is ready? Dilemmas, dilemmas.

Adelyn sure did have fun inside. That girl can have fun doing anything as long as her tummy is full! She is a hoot seriously!
After we got home form the fair on Thursday night, we had these cookies from Marmie that Merm dropped off for us! How awesome is that?! They were homemade and oh so yummy! They are all gone already!
And yesterday, after a half a week of doing so well with the potty, we took Ab to get ice cream in a cone with sprinkles (which she has never had before!) It was such a treat for everyone! This has definitely been one of those weeks where I can sit back and say, my life is not void of hardships, but I am so blessed! And I am thankful!!

Week in Review!

We have had a busy busy and eventful week! Monday, we went to play on our favorite play ground. I just thought their outfits were cute. They looked like little golfers.
I think it was on Monday that I finished this book. It was amazing and I would definitely recommend it!It has taught me sooo much; I'll have to devote a post to it some time. Also, on Monday, usually Adam plays ultimate frisbee and I watch the girls but he was determined to let me play and so at half time he took the girls home (bc they will whine for me if they see me) and let me play. I absolutely LOVED it! I had a blast and I was so thankful for the time I got to spend with some of the youth girls!

On Tuesday, Adelyn and I were here by ourselves because Annabelle went to run some errands with daddy and I asked Ad if she wanted to go pee pee in the potty and she said, "yes!" I took her over to it and she went. It was so cute and about 15 minutes later, she did it again! It was so awesome! I was so proud of her! Also, on Tuesday, I had my first run with my new running buddy. We ran 2 miles and walked two. It was great! I look forward to running more now that I have a running partner!
Wednesday morning, we went to the library to toddler time. There were sooo many people there but the girls really did a good job! They have this puzzle where every toddler gets a letter and when they call your letter you have to go up to Mrs. Linda and put your letter back in the puzzle. Ad had "r" and Ab had "s" and when it was both of their turns, they just pranced right up there an put their letter back! I was so proud!

Wednesday night at youth group, it was dress like a super hero night and so Ashley and Valerie came over before hand so I could figure out something for them to wear. Well, the only thing I could think of was girly princess super heros. ha! Annabelle of course had to dress up as well.
Wednesday night when I was almost home from church I got a phone call from my friend Maly. Oliver had bit through his lip and was crying really hard. I went to her house and got her daughter Ryley and brought her to our house. Poor Oliver had to get 6 stitches total. They had to drive all the way to Children's to put him to sleep for it. They didn't get home until 5 am! Crazy! Oliver is going to have an awesome "battle wound" to show off when he is older!
Also, while we were keeping Ryley, I went to put some of the picture of Adelyn pee peeing in the potty on the blog and I saw this! I was in shock at first. I could not imagine all of the blog being gone. It's a long story, but my e-mail had been hacked and they had deleted my blog too. Luckily, I have an awesome cousin who lives in New York and does computer codes and stuff (: and he fixed it all for me and even got my e-mail back for me! It was sooo amazing and I was soo incredibly thankful for him and his hard work and that I blog.
Thursday, I had to take Annabelle to the doctor to get her ears checked and it was hilarious because she insisted on wearing her pjs with her princess dress on over them and she did not want me to touch her hair. I just decided to not fight the battle that day and go with it. I love this picture. It is hilarious and I hope I remember this stage forever. She is so precious and opinionated, just like her mama!
We spent some time with the Moseley's  on Thursday which was nice because I got to talk with my friend Maly. I enjoy her friendship muchly. On Thursday night, I went to talk with someone about nutrition and Adam ended up hanging out with the Moseley's some more. Maly gave the girls a popsicle and Adelyn looked so adorable with hers! She is just getting too big!!
Friday, we went to the zoo. I did a whole post about it on my phone and it won't post it so I'll have to save that for later. We did get to touch a real live snake though! All of us did it! Friday night Adam and I went on a much needed date! We went to Panara. I know the picture is sideways but this is just like the perfect meal to me. I wish I could eat there all the time but it is just so expensive. They got a new poppy seed salad though that is pretty good and I had to try it!
All week, Justin and Adam (mostly Justin) have been working on our patio! More on that later too...

It is so fun to watch them play together. Annabelle really does a good job a lot of the time and a lot of the time she tries to beat the baby up so I have to stay on her a lot about it but for the most part they love each other. I cannot even believe the difference having tubes has made for Adelyn. She is SO.MUCH.HAPPIER and I am so thankful! I can tell she feels a lot better with them!

Today was "yard day." My neighbor LaDonna and I went to the greenhouse and got some flowers and bushes for our pitiful yard. I will most definitely do a post on that later but here is a preview. Also, my friend Emily came over tonight and kept me company while Adam put in all of the top soil! We had a great time; we always do!

I posted on 6:33 Women this week in an article entitled "Why to Stay Healthy." You can find it HERE.

Also, the Lord has been so good to me this week. I don't exactly know how to put it all down in words but He is teaching me that the.only.thing.that.will.fulfill.me.is.HIM! I wish I could learn that lesson once and be done with it but I guess that is just not how life goes. When everything goes ok, my dependence on Him starts to slip and He always reminds me again of how desperately I need Him!!!

There are lots of verses etc that have spoken to me this week and I just cannot leave this post without writing some of them down!

"Remeber those days...those were hard times...kicked around in public, targets of abuse-some days it was you and other days it was your friends...if some enemies broke in and seized your goods, you let them go with a smile, knowing that they couldn't touch your real treasure. Nothing they did bothered you or set you back. So don't throw it all away now. Your faith is a sure thing. You have to stick it out with God. Stay with it and survive, trusting all the way. Hebrews 10:32-39 (Message)

"My righteous one will live by faith and if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with Him." Hebrews 10:38

"When my endurance fails, Lord, would you help me keep focusing on the great reward of Your favor and eternal promises? I don't want to slow down or lose sight. I want to keep going. Please help me Lord." ~Beth Moore

Therefore as God's chosen people, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Col 3:12

Compassion=the ability to see and feel other people's pain-a tenderness of heart that hurts when someone else is hurting and is compelled to relieve suffering-more than a feeling-produces action

Kindness=sincerely wishing other's well and desiring them to do good

Humility= a holy unawareness of oneself

Gentleness= strength under control, the choice not to use one's power against another

Patience= long suffering in the face of insult or injury-more than just enduring difficulty or passive resignation to circumstances but living ongoing faith

These all require an others centered point of view. Considering other's feelings and need above one's own.

"The theme of Job is that Satan can take away a lot of things but the thing he cannot take away is the eternal promise of our salvation!!!" McArthur
This one is my favorite!! In the end Jesus wins, over Satan, his demons, over our spiritual warfare!
And since we are with Him, we win too!!!!!

Well, now I know why I keep up with this more regularly!! Whew!

Night!!!
