First Day of Ballet

We had our first day of ballet on Tuesday. Annabelle was so excited she didn't stop talking for hours..hence the picture :) It was so so cute!

They were so excited about all of it, their outfits, practicing, the real ballerina who was their teacher. It was so so fun to watch and I couldn't help but thank God that He gave me girls! They are just so fun sometimes!!

They wouldn't tell me a lot about it but I know they had fun because they keep asking when they get to go back. Today I said, 5 more days! Which reminded me that Annabelle starts school in 7 days! Wow!

I made ballerina muffins to celebrate the first day of ballet and I absolutely knew at least Annabelle would love this idea and she did. She thanked me so many times. It was so sweet!

So thankful for these sweet memories!

Randoms

This little sweet faced girl is potty training. It is not even half as painful this go around and before you hate me for saying that just remember that I almost literally keeled over trying to potty train Annabelle so I could send her to preschool. (Annabelle is the reason I got Dobson's "Strong Willed Child.")
Anyway, this morning Adelyn wanted to take her "daddy" to church with her. haha :) What a cutie.
Leaving church today Annabelle would not stop disobeying so I took her in the bathroom and very loudly explained to her why she was getting "in trouble." When I walked out of the bathroom there was a mom standing there who said, "I'm glad to hear we have the same type problems." haha I guess I was a little too loud.
Anyway, just enjoying being their mama.
This week is the beloved Dance Camp. We are very excited to say the least :)

Sweet Sisters & Running the Race

Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
Acts 20:24

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
1 Corinthians 9:24

Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 1 Corinthians 9:6

Sister Love

Sister Love is the Sweetest!

“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Romans 8:35,37

Today so far....

They were just too irresistibly cute not to photograph this morning.
"Jesus Calling" this am was dead on to what I have been studying on the mind and the scripture underneath that you cannot see in the picture was even Romans 12:2
One of my out of town friends remembered how much I loved the cupcake shop I took her to when she visited and sent these to me today! What a sweet and wonderful surprise!!
After school and a visit to Walmart (below) and receiving our cupcakes, we went to the park. Yes, it was 38 degrees but it was sunny and didn't feel that bad. :) We had fun getting out and getting some sun!

I just thought it was sweet how the girls held hands and ran though Walmart. The really funny part of this story was that after this, the girls both had huge breakdowns in Walmart. (It has been a long time since this has happened) and I had to take them and have the "grateful talk" with them and this lady came up to me afterwards and said, "I heard your talk with your girls and I like your style." It was just the encouragement I needed after being so thoroughly embarrassed!

This has been such a crazy week as far as me being sick, and just things going on with us, but I feel like the Lord is testing me to see if I really believe what I am going to talk about with the college students on Sunday about our minds and how to take our thoughts captive. I am thankful that in and of myself I do not have even the strength to give my thoughts over to Him but His strength through me is more than enough. He is a good good God. And I just want to put this verse here, I know someone out there needs to hear it today, just like I do:

"We are assured and know that all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose." Romans 8:28

Baby Food, Boupbwacks and More...

The girls looked so cute before church on Sunday. These were their "Christmas Dresses" and I decided it's a great idea to get holiday clothes that don't just have to go for that day. I got these dresses at the gap kids outlet with my friend Crystal when I went to Denver to visit her and her sweet baby Mack. I got them for such a steal. I wish we had a gap outlet here! Oh and I love how Adelyn is putting on her "boupbwoks" here. What a cutie!

Annabelle has been into eating baby food again. haha Ok not really or kinda. I saw the "on the go" fruit things on clearance and decided to try some for the girls and Annabelle just loves them and Adelyn doesn't like them at all! ha! Could've guessed.

Today, the girls and I decided to make princess cookies. (They have shoes on them if you can't tell.)
They were pretty yummy and it was fun!

I caught the girls playing ring around the rosy and it was so so sweet. I love how much they love each other!
And I read this this morning and I was so convicted about how the girls probably don't think I am a very thankful person. What a way to reveal to me the area that God needs to work on my heart in! (Oh and this is from "Choosing Gratitude" if you couldn't have guessed. :) )

Adelyn is 20 Months Old Tomorrow!

Adelyn, sweet baby, tomorrow you will be 20 months old. I don't know how all of that time has gone by so fast but it has. You have changed tremendously in the past 2 months since I have written a month birthday post! You now understand so many more things because you have gotten your tubes which have made you feel so much better!

You have not been sick since you have gotten them and we are so thankful! Also, other big news for you is that you can have milk and cheese in small amounts now so life is much easier for you and for me! You are still a pretty picky eater but that's ok, you and your daddy can deal with that together! You still eat a ton though!! Everyone always asks if you ever stop eating. :) You are still a daddy's girl but you LOVE me so much right now and say "mama" all the time while wanting me to hold you. I love it.

I cherish the times when you let me rock you in the glider. It is so sweet for me because usually you are so busy. I also love it when we get to spend time just us to because you are definitely used to your sister being around but love the undivided attention and I love giving it to you!
Your sweet little smile makes everyone happy.  You really do light up the room and everyone comments on how tan you are always. (You have your daddy's skin!)
These past few months you have gotten some molars in and now have all of your teeth except a few molars in the back.
Your hair is sooooo fun! Some days it is curlier than others but it is always so fun!
You and your sister love each other but are still learning to share. (Yes, Annabelle's bathing suit is on backwards..ha...she likes to do things herself.)
And you think everything can be used as a phone! You pick things up and say, "Hello, ubba duba hu la, bye" and throw whatever it is down. It is hysterical.
You LOVE to play outside especially with the water hose and to have tea parties with your sister.
You talk some but mostly we can't understand you at all. The other day though we were going through a book and I was asking you to point to things and I was amazed at how smart you are, you knew everything I asked you to point to! They say that the second child doesn't talk as much as the first and that is most def true for you!

You are so full of life and love to make people laugh and have fun. You remind me so much of your daddy. You are such a special little treasure to me. I am so thankful to God that He allowed me to be your mom. I pray that I lead you in the way I live to know Him one day.

I love you baby,
Momma
