Thankful

Whew! The past couple weeks have been full! These pictures don't even close to cover it! We have celebrated Adam's 31st b-day, Annabelle's 6th, abe got his first haircut, and lala came to visit us, Adelyn completed her first round of gymnastics, Annabelle had DEAR day at school, Adelyn had dress like a community helper day. We got a trampoline and we all love love it!
God has showed out in so many ways in my personal time with Him. He is ever chiseling. I have been reminded so much lately of this verse: "Remember the things I have done for you in the past! For I alone am God! I am God and there is none like me! Isaiah 46:9. Sometimes I fall back into old patterns because I forget where I have been and what all God has done for me. I don't want to do that. I want to live remembering the ways God has proved faithful and the ways that He has given me His strength and power in my weakness.
I am so thankful for all of the little blessings He gives to me like being able to take Adelyn to gymnastics, getting to be AB's room mom and getting to get Abraham out of his bed from naps all day. I am so thankful I am able to stay home and although it can be so tiring I never want to have an attitude of taking it for granted. Reminding myself of all of the things I am thankful for helps me to keep perspective. And when I look at a week (or two weeks) at a time of what all I have enjoyed and can thank God for I am always overwhelmed at His goodness to me!
That my glory may sing your praises and not be silent! Oh Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever! Psalm 30:13

Thankful Tuesday
My thoughts are so random and scattered I need to bullet point them:) :
1) the girlies spent a week or 6 days about with my mama this past week. They have never done this before with her and they had so.much.fun! Everyone had a blast and I am so thankful for the break too. It gave me a chance to regroup and prioritize and get some things done that I have needed to do for a while now! I might try to talk mom into doing a post about their visit!
2) it was fun just to have Abe but he missed his sisters. I didn't realize how much they entertain him! I'm thankful for that quality one on one time we had!!
3) this week has been sort of an emotional roller coaster for a number of reasons and The Lord has been chiseling at my heart. It has been so hard and I have so much "work" to let Him do on me but I'm thankful He wants to still put up with me and that His grace is always enough.
4) kindergarten starts in like a month in a half?!?! I have mixed emotions but I'm so excited for Annabelle. She is ready for this challenge! I am praying every day for just the right teacher for her and for her to have a friend in her class. I cannot wait to see how God answers these prayers.
5) I always forget to take pics of date night but we had a superfun one of those this past week! So thankful for any time alone with Adam when we aren't dog tired!
God has been good to us this past week. He always is and I am thankful!!
That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!! Psalm 30:12

Thankful Tuesday
Today I'm thankful for: my precious son :)
That He can work through my mistakes and weaknesses
For a good first doctor's visit for Abraham.
and that we can still walk outside in November.
I am thankful that I do not have to fear
And for the visit from my mama :)
I am thankful that I have a choice
For beautiful flowers from my parents
For a baby who loves to sleep so far
And that there is no impossible with God!!! Let the peace of god rule in your hearts...and be thankful! Colossians 1:16

Annabelle's 5th Birthday
Annabelle turned 5 on September the 27th. We spent the morning at home recouping from Adam's party and just relaxing.
Annabelle wanted the new Barbie Mariposa doll and costume for her birthday and that's what she got from us.
I was excited because that's what kind of birthday party she wanted to have and that's the barbie I wanted to use for the cake so it was perfect.
I also got her these face butterfly tattoo because she always wants to get her face painted and we never let her so this was super special.
That night, we got a special visit from Lala and Pepop! Lala brought some birthday gifts for Annabelle and some for Adelyn as well.
...and then...we went to Incredible Pizza!! It was such a blast!
Everyone loved the pizza and then the girls got to ride go carts with Daddy and PePop. They were in heaven.
And they got to play games and play putt put and ride carousels.
Needless to say, Annabelle had a GREAT birthday!
Sweet Annabelle,
I seriously cannot believe you are now 5 years old. I think about the day you were born and how excited I was to be your momma. I cannot believe how much you have grown up and how much I could love a little person like you. I always say this, but when I pictured having a little girl, she was just like you. You make every day so much more exciting and challenging (in a good way!) I love how curious you are about everything and how stinking smart you are and how you are just like your mama in the sense that your wheels in your mind just never stop turning. I get so pumped thinking about what God might have in store for your life; I know it's going to be better than I can even imagine. You are going to be such a great big sister again because you are so nurturing and loving by nature. I love you so much sweet girl; always remember that.
Love,
your mommy
