Teddy Bear Picnic & a Starbucks Date

I promise this baby gets sweeter and cuter every day (if that's even possible!!!)

This morning AB had a Teddy bear picnic at school and so she got to take her new bear (the one she got for her birthday...post to come on the rest of her bday Tom God willing!) Anyway, she looked so cute and big!!

While she was at school, Ad and I went to Starbucks for a little date and Ad loved the special attention and the chocolate graham crackers of course!

I love these girlies! God is so good to give them to me!

Thankful Tuesday/Annabelle's 3rd Birthday!!!

Look at that face!! I am so thankful for this little girl!! Four years ago I was trying to get pregnant never imagining that 4 years later I would have a beautiful, brilliant, precious three year old girl!

I just really enjoy birthdays, it is just one of my favorite things ever! So needless to say, I wanted to make it special for Annabelle.
I feel like since we are so similar it is easy for me to pick out what makes her feel special.
She also had a few presents this morning which made her feel really special.

I was excited for her to be able to spend a few hours at school today because I always wanted my birthday to be on a school day so I could see my friends ect and so I was glad for her. (Although as I type this I hear how silly this is! ha!)

She was so.stinking.cute this morning and she was so pumped that I made her shirt and headband.

I cannot squeeze all of Ab's birthday in one post :) but I did want to post about how thankful I am for her. God knew she would give me so much joy! I spend some time last night telling her the story of Annabelle which she loves....part of the story says that we moved to this place in Ohio when she was 3 months old and that she was my little buddy when I was lonely. It is a sweet part of me and Annabelle's story. I was so thankful to have her with me when I moved here.

Annabelle,
I hope you felt so special today because you are so special to me. I am so glad God gave you to me and I pray you know him the instant you can understand enough to make Him Lord of your life. I pray your life will reflect Him in every way possible. Ab, your mommy loves you more than you can ever imagine. You teach me so much about myself and about God. Tonight when I was carrying you into Walgreens in the rain, I thought, "I so could see God carrying me through the rain like this. It is for my good and He is trying to shield me the best He can but I have to be rained on a little to get to the best place, the place you need to go, just like you." This is just one of the examples of how show me things through your life. Please know that no matter what, I will always love you and support you and I will do my best to follow God with all my heart so that I can be the best mom for you I can.

Love you baby doll,
Mommy

Happy 28th Birthday Adam!

My sweet husband  turned 28 today or technically yesterday since it is not 12:06. Adam is such an amazing person. People don't know how godly and respectable he really is because he doesn't talk serious all that much but when he does, you sure do want to listen.
Adam knows the word of God and hungers for God in his life. He is constantly asking me what I need from him. Honestly, I do not give him enough credit.
He serves faithfully at church without ever asking for applause.
Adam has loved me this year so much and has been a picture of how Christ loves His church to me....I am not saying that he....we.... our marriage is perfect but I can't say that I would change a single thing.
I honestly feel so blessed to be able to stand beside him and call him my husband.
Our verse on our wedding day was Isaiah 26:8, "Your name and renown are the desires of our souls." May that always be true of you, Adam, of me as well, of our marriage, and our family.
video

We were listening to a passion talk tonight and heard this verse and I think it meant something to both of us. May we cling to this as we carry out our work in Marysville Ohio.

And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day. 2 Timothy 1:12

He alone is my refuge, my safety, He is God, and I trust Him.

Psalm 91
1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
   He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
 8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
 10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
 13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
 15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
      and give them my salvation.”

A little bit of our week

I don't know what's up with me and blogging. I think it's because I don't have a camera besides my iPhone right now. No biggie. It is just throwing me off a bit. I am blogging strictly from my phone which is weird. I am a big propionate of blogging. I know I've mentioned that many times but it's like a journal of fun/good memories that you can look back on. I don't know, it's just special to me. Aaannnnyyyywwwaaayyy, this week, hmm, was interesting

The weather is changing slowly and so we are starting to try to figure out what to do with us inside. I gave in a little too much this week and let the girls watch Angelina for 487 hours, ok not that long, but it kinda seemed like it!

I got to spend some good time with this little one while Annabelle was a school. Adelyn was trying to put liplocks (lipgloss) on my lips. Her face was just too cute so I snapped a picture.

We did have some sun on Tuesday and so Ad and I went on a walk!

We saw the geese across from our neighborhood and she kept begging to see them so we went to see them. She was hilarious trying to get me to chase them.

AB actually took a nap for a bit this week! It was good for everyone!

I am starting to wrap up things for AB's birthday party (that is a week from today.) If you know me, you know how much I love birthday parties! They are just one of my favorite things so needless to say, I am excited!

We also went out last night for Adam's birthday (that's on Monday.) we were going to go on a date but we couldn't find a babysitter but it went well with all of us and we were glad we were all together! We had a giftcard to Outback! Isn't eating out always more fun when it's free or at least close to it!!

We were going to go to see a two dollar movie with the girls but it didn't work out. We want to try again sometime soon though!!

It's going to be a great week full of Adam and Annabelle's birthday!! Yah!!!

Fleeting

Psalm 39:4-5
4 “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered—
how fleeting my life is.
5 You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand.
My entire lifetime is just a moment to you;
at best, each of us is but a breath.”

Lord,
May I use my time wisely, not focused on earthly things or my feelings but on you, your word, lost souls, the things of eternal value.

Amen

Thankful Tuesday!

Today is THANKFUL TUESDAY! I am so excited about it! I now look forward to Thankful Tuesday! I have soo many things to be thankful for! So.many.things., but today I want to take time to thank God for carrying me through this past year. It's been a dozy but I can see that by God's hand and grace that I am here today in Marysville, Ohio as my husband serves at Living Hope
and try I serve him, our girls, and then the body of Christ for a special reason! Romans 8:28,"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

The second picture was my view of life last year in September and the top picture I took this morning before Annabelle went to school.

God is good.

I went back to the first Thankful Tuesday post and this verse was on it:
"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you O Lord my rock and my redeemer." Psalm 19:14 Crazy because that verse has been on my heart today!!

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say REJOICE.

Psalm 100:4
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto him and bless his name.

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule your hearts, to which you have been called in one body, and be thankful.

1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people!!

Annabelle's new haircut & Randomse

The past few days have been a little crazy! The girls looked sooo adorable looking in the mirror on Wednesday morning before bible study.

Wednesday at bible study one of my friends brought us some dress up clothes and Annabelle LOVED them of course and it was a ballet costume and real ballet shoes! All her two year old dreams came true! (:

Thursday before preschool AB was a little tired poor thing.

But she looked soo adorably cute!

When i went to pick her up, her teacher told me she had cut her hair

and they handed me this. It had already been a little bit of a rough morning and so i was fine in front of the teacher but i was sad when i got to my car.

I know, I know it could've been WAY worse! I got her in to get her hair cut on Saturday!

She did great and her hair cut is so cute!!

That was her best attempt at a smile!!

After we got home, I put Adelyn to bed and Annabelle and I did her school project. She LOVED it and did so great!

This was the best picture of the girls I got this morning! Among the runners up were

And..

Ha!

Today I got to spend some GREAT time talking about out new biblestudy by Francis Chan. It was awesome AND all of these four fit in this little tent! It was too cute!!

I am loving the book of Proverbs. I haven't made it too far but I think it's neat how God intertwines what you are studying. Our small groups study this week was about the fear of the Lord and that is the whole theme of Proverbs! So cool!!

"..if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, so that you may incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, an lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver (as you seek for money) and search for her as hidden treasures; then you will understand (discern perceive) the fear of the Lord and find knowledge (perception, skill, discernment, understanding) of God. For God gives wisdom. Prov 2:1-6a

Wisdom is that Chokmah word again. My fav part of definition is "skill in war."

"Passionate pleading of one who is desperate to know and apply the truth of God's word!"-MC
