I had such a wonderful time "at home" in Memphis with my friends and family. It was super crazy and I think we saw at least one hundred people here and there minus going to church. It just occurred to me as I was writing that last sentence that I am extremely blessed by all of those real and true friends; they are the kind of friends that you keep up with even if you live 10 hours away in the North! :)
I also got to meet two of my nieces and nephews that I have never met before (Adam's brother's children) and they got to meet Adelyn for the first time. Along with all of this wonderfulness, I also got to spend some quality time with my sweet sister in laws. I am very blessed to have 4 sister in laws and we get along just so well; it is such as if we are real sister who grew up together and know every thing about each other. I love their wonderful friendships and I love even more that they are al having babies that I get to enjoy!!!
The night before we left, my sister in law Dottie and I stay up talking late and had the best conversation about so many things in our lives. Isn't it so refreshing when you get to be really real with someone and you know that no matter what you say that person loves and accepts you? Dottie is one of the most caring people I know and we had a time I will never forget of sharing and praying for one another.
This song reminds me a lot of what we talked about and how we need God more than we even know we do and that everyone and by everyone I mean ev-e-ry-one has "issues." God made us this way to learn to rely and depend on Him just to make it through life. I decided I really wanted to share these lyrics and song with my blog friends. You guys (I'm trying to get back into the norther mind set :) When we drove in last night my neighbor said I had already gotten my accent back! haha!) Anyway like I was saying, you guys are such an encouragement to me and I am extrremly thankful for the friendships and support I have gained from blogging! Thanks ya'll!! (I just can't help it!! :) )
Perfect People
sung by Natalie Grant
Never let 'em see you when you're breaking
Never let 'em see you when you fall
That's how we live and that's how we try
Tell the world you've got it all together
Never let them see what's underneath
Cover it up with a crooked smile
But it only lasts for a little while
There's no such thing as perfect people
There's no such thing as a perfect life
So come as you are, broken and scared
Lift up your heart and be amazed
And be changed by a perfect God
Suddenly it's like a weight is lifted
When you hear the words that you are loved
He knows where you are and where you've been
And you never have to go there again
Who lived and died to give new life
To heal our imperfections
So look up and see out let grace be enough
By a perfect God
Be changed by a perfect God
Be changed
You can listen to the song HERE.
I can't wait to post pictures and share stories about our trip! I hope ya'll have a great day!!!

You have no idea how much I needed to read what you have shared and then top it off, listen to the song you posted. Thank you Ashley! Your post was definitely an encouragement to me and exactly what I needed for the end of this day. The Lord just used you and your blog to reach my heart. Love you!
Hi, Ashley! Thanks for stopping by! Your daughters are precious! I love their names and of course the big 'ol bows in their hair! :) My daughters are 21 months a part and my middle daughter and son are a little over 2 1/2 years a part. It has been really great. Have a great day!!!
