MOPS/ Reign in us
On Monday I went to my first MOPS group meeting. All of the MOPS groups in Marysville meet on Friday and since that is Adam's day off I did not want to go then and so I found a group that meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in Polaris which is about 45 minutes away.
I really enjoyed the group. The people were really nice and inviting. I was a little late because the website said the meeting started at 10:30 but it really started at 10:00 but it wasn't that big of a deal. (I took all these pictures of the girls when we got home on Monday.)
Both girls cried when I left them which made me soo sad but I knew it would be good for them. They hardly ever have interaction with other kids so I knew it would be beneficial for them. They are usually in the same nursery at church (bc we have a small church) and so I also thought it was great that they were in different classrooms. Annabelle was in with the "big kids" and she even learned a bible lesson about Moses. I asked her what she learned afterward and I was so surprised and excited that she actually said, "Moses." We have a Miss Patty Cake video that has baby Moses on it so I'm sure that is why she was already familiar with Moses but I was still so excited that it seemed like she learned something!
The devotion for the day was soo great! It was about Psalm 139 "...even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." The lady on the video gave all the "even there" scenarios like when your baby won't stop crying, when your toddler won't stop saying no, and when your little girl goes to school. I boo hooed my eyes out but tried to compose myself before the video was over so the room full of strangers didn't think I was crazy! :) It really was just what I need that day. I kept praying all morning that if it was supposed to work out and everything that I would find the building (haha if you know me, you know this is true) and just that I would enjoy it and learn something and I did! Thanks God for answering my prayers!
Oh and down the street from the MOPS meeting was a SONIC!! yah!!! I got a route 44 drink and when I saw it I laughed because I had forgotten how big those things were! It was so great though! I can't believe I will be enjoying Sonic twice a month now; what a treat!!
Also, on Monday night, I went running and listened to this song over and over again. I just love the lyrics and love my husband for letting me get out and exercise and have 'me time'!!
"Reign In Us"
Starfield
You thought of us before the world began to breathe
And you knew our names before we came to be
You saw the very day we'd fall away from you
And how desperately we need to be redeemed
Lord Jesus come lead us
We're desperate for your touch
Oh Great and Mighty One, with one desire we come
That you would reign, that you would reign in us
We're offering up our lives, a living sacrifice
That you would reign, that you would reign in us
Spirit of the Living God fall fresh again
Come search our hearts and purify our lives
We need your perfect love
We need your discipline
We're lost unless you guide us with your light
Lord Jesus come lead us
We're desperate for your touch
We cry out
For your love to refine us cry out
For your love to define us cry out
For your mercy to keep us blameless until you return
You would reign in us
So reign, please reign in us
Come purify our hearts we need your touch
Come cleanse us like a flood and send us out
So the world may know you reign, you reign in us
The Lord kept bringing up the verses in my head while I was running about how we quench the Holy Spirit and I got so convicted about this and my love for other things besides God. I pray He continues to mold me and chip away things that are not of Him. I know I have a LONG way to go!
Well, Adam and I are currently having a laptop party where we lie in bed and "play" on our laptops! Fun Friday night huh?! haha. Well, it's time for me to go to sleep sooo night!!

Every time I get a Route 44 I immediately regret it because they are huge! But then an hour later, I realize I've drank all of it and it was a good decision. Haha!
I love SONIC too! Whenever I got to Costco I treat myself to a cherry limeaid!
I love those lyrics!! The girls with the bows = too cute.
