A Shoe *Glow Up *

I decided to give my shoes a glow-up for Valentine’s Day—and honestly, I might just keep them like this because they turned out so cute!

It wasn’t hard at all. I swapped out the original laces for velvety red ones, then used some jewels and odds and ends we already had from making necklaces. And voilà—tennis shoes with pizzazz!

They’re absolutely perfect for the theme of our life right now: Hadestown. (Okay, not really the theme of our life, but when your whole family is all-consumed by a play, it feels like it.)

I’ve worn them to Hadestown a couple of times already. With 8 performances total, we’re halfway through now, and let me tell you—it has been such an amazing show to watch! I know I’m biased, but it really is sooo good.

We even got to see it in NYC this summer for my 40th birthday, so Hadestown holds a special place in my heart. More on that soon, but for now…these shoes are having their moment!
