Rescue
What a good view of the new teefers!
Daddy and his girls. I just love these little matching outfits my mom got the girls. They have worn them all summer and I kept saying each time that that was the last time they were going to wear them because Adelyn's has gotten too small soooooo yesterday was the for real last time for these outfits so we went to the front of our neighborhood to take some pics.
Adelyn smiling
Sad there are no bubbles left in the yellow container.
We laughed and laughed at this picture because it looks like Annabelle is trying to model. haha
Adleyn didn't want to sit by herself.
My favorite picture. Ab is trying to smell the flowers. I love how you can see Adelyn and Daddy in the backgound.
We have had an interesting week with Ab having such a high fever and an ear infection and our good sleeper has turned into a very bad sleeper. I know it is only for a short time and I am soooo thankful for antibiotics. I think thye are really helping so far.
Psalm 3:5
I lie down to sleep, I wake again because the Lord sustains me.
Psalm 3:3 But you are a shield around me Oh Lord, you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.
Psalm 2:12
Blessed are those who take refuge in Him.
Psalm 31:1-5, 21 & 24
In you Oh Lord I have taken refuge, let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue, be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Since you are my rock, my fortress for your name's sake lead me and guide me. Free me from the trap set before me for you are my refuge.
Into your hands I commit my spirit, redeem me Oh Lord the God of truth. Praise be to the Lord for He has shown His wonderful love to me. Be strong and take heart all those who hope in the Lord.
All of these verses have been special to me this week. I am struggling with something that I cannot write about for the world to know. :) But, the Lord has been there for me this week, comforting me, loving me, sustaining me, showing me how he has provided for me.
In my Beth Moore study (which is now over and I am very sad :( ) she said she found in her research that in the original language when God says "rescue" it means to "draw to himself." I cannot get over how this has changed how I read some verses in the bible. When God says he will rescue us it means he will draw us to himself not necessarily draw us out of that hard situation. It is then that we get what we really need, not an escape, but a closeness with God.
Love that. Just felt like I needed to share.
