Pure Religion

Ya'll! I was invited to volunteer at this More4Orphans Summit in Columbus and I am so excited. If you knew the whole story you would be really excited with me but I'll just say I had been asking the Lord for opportunities to serve the poor and one fell into my lap. I feel an internal struggle with this topic. My main priority is in my home. Period. But my heart has been opened to this topic of the poor in many many ways recentness hence this post. I in no way want to bring any attention to myself because in fact I am horrible at even noticing the poor most of the time, but that is where the Lord is opening my eyes and heart and being so so so good to me to provide me with opportunities to serve Him!


I just wanted to get the word out about the Summit if there is anyone interested in coming or even committing to pray for this event. You can e-mail me and/or visit this site where you can register etc.


I cannot leave this post without telling you a little bit about my friend who invited me to volunteer. Her name is Mandy and she started coming to my bible study and that is how I met her. She has adopted 13 children and was adopted herself. Her life breathes James 1:21"Religion that our Father accepts as pure and faultless is to look after orphans and widows and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

The video for the song was filmed while we were at Passion and we spotted our whole group in the video and then they took it off U tube. Not sure what happened with that but Oh well! Buy the song!
