Desperation

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Col 2:7

I read this verse this morning and it made me reflect on the past fiveish years. They have not been easy but I can, in looking back, say that I am so thankful for these years because God has grown our roots deep down in Him. We really had no other choice and in this desperation all the truth we had learned our whole lives became real. We lived and breathed them in order to survive and today my heart is overflowing with thankfulness for the growing pains, and pruning that has made this my story, " I had heard about you before but now I have seen you with my own eyes. " Job 42:5
