Superhuman Power and Energy

Being a mom is hard work, more rewarding than anyone could ever explain to you in words but none the less, hard. I am a mom and a Christ follower therefore my job right now is to work dilligently to manage my home in a way that honors God.

 {eating lunch, i love those sweet curls}

Most days I am in desperate need of God in my managing of my home. Every single second I need Him but some days I realize my desperate need more than others. Whether it be that the girls are fighting like crazy, some major catastrophe happened or an accident that takes lots of my time and energy takes place, I am in constant awareness of my need for God and the wisdom and power only He can give especially in how to raise the girls.

 {Annabelle climbing her first tree this weekend!}

Tonight, in bible study we were studying Ephesians 3 about Paul being given his mission from God to preach to the Gentiles and we were all relating it to what God has called us to in our lives right now. I know God has a calling for me outside the home as well but as I stated earlier with the girls being so little, my primary focus is being everything I need to be for Adam and them right now. I was so encouraged by some of the verses from tonight's study.

 {my next read:)}

For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me. Colossians 1:29

And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe.. Ephesians 1:19a

 {both girls playing hopscotch}

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]--
To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it). Ephesians 3:19-20

While, I know these verses are not specifically talking about moms I believe that they can be applied this way and I love the thought of knowing the one who can give me that superhuman power and energy that is much needed in the journey of motherhood. :)
