Thankful Tuesday/Brit's Visit/Daniel Study

Today is THANKFUL TUESDAY!! Yah! I am so thankful for so many things today! The first thing that comes to mind is the weather. It.is.perfect. I mean perfect. I would take this kind of weather all year round! Also, I am so thankful for Brittney coming to visit me these past couple days. There is just nothing like a sweet visit from a friend!
She was perfect with the girls of course and they had a blast with her here! We sooo missed sweet Presley Kate (her little girl!) I am also thankful for these two little cuties in this picture below. They decided to watch Tangled this morning when they got up (we didn't make it through that much of it) but I love love love it when they sit together on the couch! It blesses my heart!
I am also thankful for my Daniel study and I want to turn the rest of this post to that topic. I have been learning so much from God's word and Beth Moore's teaching and I just have to jot some of it down. I guess it's a woman thing.
The first lesson was called "Choices to Make."Our purpose on earth is to be relevant for the kingdom of God for His glory, to influence and not to be indoctrinated."

These are some statements that stuck with me:
*The enemy is after all of the spiritual progress we have ever made taking us all the way back to the place of our biggest stronghold and our greatest despair."
*Babylon in that day was a lot like our culture. We are completely self absorbed, it is all about our self will and the overindulgent choices before us! It's the tyranny of choice.
* We focus on the smart, young, and beautiful. We focus on how together we appear and how beautiful we are.
* God has assigned us to the world and the enemy has assigned the world to us. The question is...which one will win out?
*If your not doing everything you can not to be indoctrinated by the world-you will be!
*You simply have to say "no" to some things, period. Practicing "I can" but "I won't."
*Daniel had to spend his life there, away from home, where he was different.

And the scripture of course:
Psalm 27:4- One thing have I desired and I will I seek.
Colossians 3:1-2- So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective.
1 Corinthians 6:12-Just because something is technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate. If I went around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I'd be a slave to my whims.

And this is only the first weeks worth of good stuff!! Can't wait to share more later! Night!!
