This morning Annabelle got her tubes. We woke her up at 7:30 and headed to the Ohio Surgery Center (the same place Adelyn got her tubes.) Since Adelyn just got hers a few weeks ago, everything was very familiar. The same doctor did the procedure as did Adelyn's and so we felt comfortable about everything.
One of my friends sent me this verse this morning and I LOVED it and it sincerely spoke to me this morning. It's Isaiah 41:10, "Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Also, yesterday, this one spoke to me and I wrote it down to take it with me this morning but then forgot and it was neat because then my friend sent me the Isaiah one. God is good. The verse from yesterday was Hebrews 13:5b, it's one I have read so many times but it spoke to me in a different way yesterday. Don't you love it when that happens. It says, "I will not in any way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake you nor relax my hold on you. Assuredly not!"
I was however a little nervous about two things. The first being Annabelle couldn't have anything to eat or drink from when she woke up until 9:00am. She really did ok. She asked me a few times for something to drink but I distracted her with colors, stickers etc (hence the picture above.) The other thing I was a little nervous about was how she would handle coming off the anesthesia since Adelyn had such a hard time with that. Annabelle was pretty funny, very fussy and crying, but did tell me I had two faces, which we laughed and laughed about. Oh and when they gave her her sedative before the surgery, she was hilarious. We took a video of her, she was extremely giggly and funny but I don't think I'm gonna post it. I might change my mind but Idk.
We made it; both girls have tubes! I hope and pray this continues to improve our lives around here! Annabelle is a little trooper. She did great and I was proud of her.
