GiGi's Visit
Gigi came to visit today!!! Adelyn was up again last night and I could tell she was uncomfortable again. I knew it was her ears. So, this morning I called and made an appointment at 11:30 and so Adelyn and I had to miss some precious Gigi time but my suspicions were dead on. She still had the same ear infection (which has gotten really bad. :( ) It's a long story but we go back in 2 weeks to talk about tubes.
Gigi was able to watch Annabelle while I took Adelyn which was a HUGE blessing because Adelyn had so much ear wax that they had to clean her ears out first. If your child has ever had to do this with an ear infection you know; it is horrible. They tell you that it is painful for them but that it is the only way they can see clearly in their ears. Adelyn cried and cried but was a trooper as usual. I honestly cannot imagine if Annabelle had been there though because Annabelle is very protective of Adelyn and would not have liked this process at all!!
Gigi came full of gifts and these adorable dancing animals. They are soooo cute and fun to play with and Annabelle got some special attention which she hardly ever gets.
Thank you Gigi for coming to visit!! What a treat! We are so thankful for you and everything you do for us!
Also, I wanted to include some scripture the Lord laid on my heart this morning. So much of what I want to say to explain is just simply unexplainable so here is the Word of God. (I like to personalize it since it is written to me! :) )
I praise you God for Adelyn is fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are good. I know that full well. Psalm 139
Do not be anxious for anything but in everything with prayer and petition make your requests to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will garrison your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Phil 4
God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Thank you God for your Word that literally sustains me on days when I have nothing left!

They had to clean out one of Spencer's ears a couple times. It IS horrible. =( Once he didn't even have an ear infection! Anyway, I feel your pain. During any painful or stressful medical procedures I just keep telling myself I'm glad we live somewhere with available healthcare for when he's sick as opposed to just holding him for days while he cries in pain (like in some developing countries I've visited). It does not make him any less miserable, but it keeps me from losing my sanity.
I hope she feels all better very soon!
