Rice Cereal

Adelyn tried rice cereal for the first time last night. I would like to say that she tried it because it was time or she was ready but neither were the case. We were desperate! You see we have not been sleeping for two weeks and by not sleeping I do not mean waking up 2 or 3 or even 4 times a night I mean we are awake all night long never to fall completely asleep. So, we thought maybe she needed rice cereal.

So, we decided to take Adelyn to the doctor today. It was neat because I prayed all morning that we would get in to see our doctor today because he is so popular it is really hard to get an appointment with him. Well, I called this morning and someone had just cancelled at 11:00. The only problem was that I had play group for our church today at my house from 10-12 and I had asked the lady at the playground, Millie, (which is another story I'll tell sometime) to come today and so I didn't want to cancel. So, Adam really wanted me to take the appontment and I felt like since I prayed and the Lord answered I should take it. So, we did and we found out that poor little sweet Adelyn has a double ear infection. Poor baby, no wonder she is not sleeping unless we are holding her! So, needless to say, we are not going to give her rice cereal for another little while but her first taste was last night and so I decided to post about it! :)

Oh goodness, do I know what you mean. We fondly remember the four weeks right after he was born that we slept and woke every three hours. Our baby boy has GERD. It is no fun for anyone, but especially him. He is on medicine twice a day, and it helps. He is still waking every one to two hours. Eight months later.. We are praying for relief for our little guy and know that God has a plan. Praying that you all get some sleep soon!! I came across your blog from a friends page and your girls are so beautiful!! I also LOVE the money/debt study by andy stanley. It is AMAZING. Praying for your family.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad God provided an appointment for Adelyn to get in! Now, you'll be able to sleep and she'll feel better, too! I'm so sorry she had a double ear infection. :( I love seeing all your pictures. I LOVE your purple Easter dress. :) Adorable!
