Love me some Motherwise!

Today was a busy busy day! First, our mom's bible study started back. We are doing Freedom for Mothers (a Motherwise study) and it was soooooooo good today! Denise Glenn spoke on John 15 and Jesus being the vine and us the branches. Here is the exact verse, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in Him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." The lesson really spoke to me because it reminded me that I do not have to do this parenting thing or even just life in general by myslef. I cannot musture up enough strength to get through, I need God. I need God to give me the fruit of the Spirit...and I mean bad! I need patience, gentleness, self control etc. etc. etc and the only way I can get these things that I so desire as a wife and mother is through Christ! As Denise said, "I must not just allow Him to guide me but Him to be me, to control everything for me." After the study we split up into groups to pray and we all prayed that our kids would sleep. It was so comforting to knw that every body is going through the same thing. It was just such a refreshing time today! I can't wait for the next one and the homework this week! I have been reading through the bible and I am in Joshua and I had hit a wall of sorts and so I am so glad to be adding this study to my daily readings!

Annabelle and Adelyn were both going crazy at the study unfortunatly. We came home, ate lunch, and I put Annabelle to sleep and Adelyn just would not stop screaming. I decided that I needed to go and get her ears checked because she has just seemed off lately. She will not sleep at night at all. She only goes a couple hours before she wakes up crying and beleive me I know and I have heard that this is just what babies do but at some point they have to begin getting into longer stretches and the past week it has just been rough soooooo Adam took her at 3:00 to our doctor's office. I would normally have taken her myslef but I had told a lady in our church that I would keep her kids so I wanted to do that and someone had to stay home with Annabelle because I don't like to take both of them to the doctor's office because of germs etc so Adam took her. Let me just say, he is a wonderful dad. Not for even a second did he question me about wanting to take her to the doctor or about the fact that he had to take her. It was so cute too because when he got in to see the doctor, he called me and let me talk to the doctor. The doctor thinks Adelyn has reflux and it is when she is laying down flat that she has the acid coming up in her throat not allowing her to sleep. So, he gave us some medicine for it and we hope and pray it makes our nights a little bit easier.

The kids that I babysat today were so sweet. They played with Annabelle and even let her mess up all the legos they had put together. Here are a few pictures of them playing.

Annabelle and Colby staring each other down :)

Annabelle looooved the Legos and did not even try to put one in her mouth!! We might have to invest in some of these but not for a while because Adelyn might get them in her mouth before too long!
Once again, I am praying for a good night's sleep.

Oh Ashley! Bless your heart! I totally know what you're going through! Drake had reflux. We did not know it until he was about 2 months old. He cried after EVERY feeding (and during feedings). It was a nightmare. BUT...don't worry! It will get better once she gets on the medicine. It made a world of difference with Drake. Sleep will come soon!! Hang in there! I am praying for you!
