Walk in Love, Endurance, and Grumbling

It was so humid don't judge on the hair issues. haha. Adam and I had the privilege of leading the group in a song of worship to our God for this event. I had Ad on stage with me which I have never done but I thought there is no greater place to have my baby on stage while I sing than at a "FOR LIFE" walk and place. Praise the Lord for little kiddos. They truly are a blessing!

We sang "How Great is Our God" and it was good for me. These are the words that just grabbed my heart and had new meaning for me today: "He wraps Himself in light. And darkness tries to hide. It trembles at His voice. Trembles at His voice" We truly serve such a GREAT GOD for toooo many reasons to name (as I am listening to Matt Redman's 10,00 reasons. :) )

Oh and as far as I heard the event raised over 10,000! Amazing! PTL!

The verses for the event were Ephesians 5:1-2

Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].   And WALK IN LOVE  [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

This week has been all about Ephesians 6 and don't think that's not coming. God has been showing out for me this week and I am thankful!

Also was listening to Beth Moore and she said two things that hit me hard and I want to share real quick:

1) You know how we call those blessed (happy) who were steadfast [who endured]. James 5:11 sooo true! How important that we endure!

2) Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you [yourselves] may not be judged. James 5:9

"Complain" or "Grumble" means "unexpressed feelings of bitterness or the smothered resentment that may express itself in a groan or a sigh."

First of all, unexpressed. The best person to take our feelings to the Lord. He already knows and understands the situation perfectly, as in better than we do and He sees and understands our pain (which is a HUGE one for me!)

Second, bitterness or smothered resentment. Can I just say this creeps in so subtly it's unbelievable. I try to combat this with asking God to "search me a try me" my heart every morning but I still mes up bad with this one. It's just a constant dependance on the Lord to help with not holding something against someone sometimes but that is what we are called to and we are more than capable through Christ.

Third, may I watch myself for sighs and groans and also my words for they reveal what is in my heart.

That's all. Good night!
