The Circle of Life

So, I am taking the day backwards just because I want to. Last night we went to see my best friend Brit and her sweet family and meet her little baby Courtland. It was a last minute decision that ended up being so wonderful! I had been trying to find a way and time ect ect to come to Cinnci and we were in Dayton yesterday and just couldn't help but drive the extra 60 miles to get there! Such a great time!
Courtland was the sweetest little baby. I wanted to steal him but then remembered how much work infants take and decided to leave him with his mama. :)
Little Pres was the cutest thing of course and she is just so so so sweet. She loves my girls. Brit and I always dreamed of having kiddos together that would be friends and our dream came true. :)
Before we made our decision to go to see Brit we stopped by a McDonalds in Dayton to let the girls play on an outdoor McDonalds play ground.
Adam helped them up in it the first time because I had a dress on. I couldn't believe they both went all the way to the top and loved it. They are usually scared of things like this.

Yesterday afternoon we attended my sweet step mom's father's funeral. It was so good to see my dad and step mom and her family but funerals are always so sad. I feel for my step mom. Her parents are the same age as my grandparents and my grandmother is not doing all that well and it's so hard to be so far away from them sometimes but I know above all, we have to do what God has called us to do and so "we press on."
I read some really good articles etc while the funeral was going on and I had the girls outside with me. This was one of the best quotes about grieving.

And after all that saddness I had to end with scripture. The all in all healer and comforter of the soul. I wrote this on the pavement the other day and I forgot one of my favorite parts about this verse that says, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or think ACCORDING TO THE POWER WITHIN US." So, He gives us the power to do more than we could ever think of doing. Wow.
