Faithful God

I just wanted to jot down some things that have really been meaningful to me lately....

~ God searches the earth for those with a heart toward Him so He can bless them. 2 Chronicles 16:9

~ Followers of Jesus don't get to decide if they will be missionaries; they just get to choose where. -Rick Atchley

~ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is ...our stronghold. Selah. Psalm 46:1-3,7

~ I told a new believer a while back that when you are a baby Christian you deal with "big" open sins but the longer you are a Christian the more your sins are "smaller" more internal sins. We humans in our flesh are capable of ANYTHING apart from God. To say anyone has "conquered" the "big" sins is just saying you can somehow arrive as a Christian which is arrogant and untrue.

~ Prayer is the unfailing resource of the anxious mother- Spurgeon

~ Sin will take you further than you want to go. It will keep you longer than you want to stay and it will cost you more than you want to pay. -Spurgeon

~ Americans spend more on dog food than they do on missions. - Steve McAllister

~ There are 6.5 billions people in the world. 33% say they have a relationship with Christ. 40% are evangelized. 27% 1.7 billion people are not reached at all

~ I cry aloud to You, God, knowing You will hear me. In my day of trouble I seek You, Lord, lifting up my hands to You all night long, refusing to be comforted by anything other than Your sweet presence and direction (Ps 77:1-2). Like David-and like Hannah-I call to You from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to You, Lord God-the Rock that is high above me. (Ps 61:2) -Beth Moore

I know I have not written a serious post in a while. To be honest, I have been a little out of it lately. But, you know what, no matter how unfaithful I am, God is always faithful, loving, and forgiving and for that I am eternally thankful!
