Easter Egg Hunt #2 and God is Able

Today we went to our second Easter Egg Hunt. I am so thankful for these fun things for us to do while it's still so chilly. The temp said it felt like 34 today. So needless to say, I just wanted to get a few shots of the girls without their coats on before we went in to put on our coats!
It was so adorable for me to see Adelyn in this dress because it was a dress Annabelle wore last year that my mom got at a consignment sale and I monogrammed the "A" on it. I just love this little dresses and it has gotten LOTS of wear with the two little ones. Can't wait to see Ad wear it many more time this spring and summer.

Thought it was absolutely hilarious that Adelyn had to have her goldfish in the picture. She just loves her food.

I made the girls different baskets last year and I thought I was doing a good thing by making them different colors but it seemed this morning that everyone wanted to have the pink one so they took turns.

Like I said, it was FREEZING (almost literally) and Adam was one of 3 people with short sleeves on that I saw. He was so cold. He was a little confused because it was warmer yesterday.
(It was a bad hair day. Don't judge. :) )

 Ready, Set,...
 Go....

The girls both filled up their baskets and asked to be done.

We had SUCH a great time! SO thankful a neighbor church in our area does this Easter Egg Hunt every year!

I remember last year having to kind of explain to the girls what an Easter Egg Hunt was and let them practice first in our yard. I know I could ay this on every post, but I cannot believe how fast they are growing.

I know this is not necessary but I feel in my soul it is......just to say that Easter is all about Jesus Resurrection and His defeating the grave and death!

"God is Able" by Hillsong explains this well. I am LOVING this song right now. :)

GOD IS ABLE:
God is able
He will never fail
He is almighty God
Greater than all we seek
Greater than all we ask
He has done great things

Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able

In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able

God is with us
God is on our side
He will make a way
Far above all we know
Far above all we hope
He has done great things

Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able
In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able

God is with us
He will go before
He will never leave us
He will never leave us
God is for us
He has open arms
He will never fail us
He will never fail us

Lifted up
He defeated the grave
Raised to life
Our God is able
In His name
We overcome
For the Lord
Our God is able

For the Lord
Our God is able
For the Lord
Our God is able

Easter Egg Hunt #1

My sweet baby dolls went to their first Easter Egg Hunt this morning at our friend's the Reighardt's house.

This is the second year our church group has had the Easter Egg Hunt at the Reinhardt's.

The past two years, it has been held in the basement because it has been wet outside.
The girls searched for eggs for a while and then...
Adelyn dropped her bag and decided she wanted to play.

I was so thankful that Adam could come. Autumn (the hostess) gave him the job of hiding the eggs and he did a suburb job!
Afterward, we had snack and we did a little craft.
What a great time we had!!

I couldn't help but remember the Easter Egg Hunt from last year. I cannot believe how fast the girls are growing!!!

It turns out well! We are not the exceptions....

God answered a huge prayer request of mine today and I am thankful!! And this little girl was attached to her bible today which was so precious to me! She even woke up from her nap saying, "my bible." :)

Sweet Moments

When the poor and needy search for water and there is none, and their tongues are parched from thirst, then I, the Lord, will answer them. I, the God of Israel, will never abandon them.
I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys.
I will fill the desert with pools of water.

Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.
I will plant trees in the barren desert—cedar, acacia, myrtle, olive, cypress, fir, and pine.

I am doing this so all who see this miracle will understand what it means
that it is the Lord who has done this, the Holy One of Israel who created it."

 Isaiah 41:17-20

Most of the time, when I'm going through a hard time, the Old Testament speaks to me more than anything! It is just so encouraging to see what God has done in the past and gives me fresh faith to know He wants the same things for me!

Just wanted to share this morning...

{I wrote this on Sunday but wasn't able to post it from my phone so I wanted to post it today.}

Today, God has blessed us with some sweet moments and I am thankful. He is ALWAYS faithful. What a good good God He is.

Trip to the Library with Lala

We really didn't make it to read any books (not without effort though) because Adelyn was waaay too busy playing in the little play place but we had so much fun, having a tea party and a puppet show!!

Oh and the bumblebee costume.....well, us moms have to choose our battle right?!

:)
