Thankful Tuesday- AB's preschool!

I am working on my Niagara post, I have tons of pics but in the meantime it is Thankful Tuesday so I thought I would take the opportunity to thank God that Annabelle had a great first day at school by herself!

She was so stinking cute this morning! I dropped her off and she was a little apprehensive. She wanted me to stay in her room with her but her teacher did a great job of distracting her while I left.

I put this little card in her bag in case she got upset. I told the teachers she could hold it if she needed to but she was fine!

While she was at school Adelyn and I went to the park and then we took a walk and then we came inside to play. Adelyn seemed a bit lost without AB. It was cute. I am so thankful for this time I get to spend with just Adelyn. It's going to be fun for both of us!!

She definitely missed her sister. It was funny because the girls hugged and kissed all over each other the rest of the day. I was so thankful for that; I'm so glad they love each other!

We drew Annabelle a sign to let her know we were thinking of her!!

When Adelyn and I went to pick Annabelle up, I was saying Adelyn are you ready to get sister and she would say "no." ha! I think she liked being an only child! Annabelle was soo happy to see me but said she had such a great time. She talked non stop about school for a few hours.

It wasn't long before she changed into her princess dress of course!! She was running around the house saying,"This is going to be the best dance in the history of mouseville!" I was cracking up! I'm assuming that's from her Angelina Ballerina obsession! Ha! She also kept saying,"freeze." (The game they played in gym I guess.) And she wanted baby to be an animal with her. She said she was a zebra. She also talked a lot about Mrs Kathy and Mrs Lisa. I can tell she really likes them! Yah! What a blessing! She even got a keychain at the mall today to put on her school bag and she named it Mrs. Kathy! So sweet!

I really am thankful that Annabelle is doing the preschool thing this year. She is young. She won't be three for a few more weeks but I was thinking today that her due date was October 1st and if she was born then she wouldn't be able to be a part of this program this year and I know it's going to be such a great thing for her! I am also so thankful and encouraged by how much they reemphasize what we are trying to teach at home....that everything centers around Christ! That reminds me of Colossians 1 where Paul writes about Christ being at the center of everything. I just looked it up in the message, it says," He is the supreme in the beginning and leading the resurrection parade-he is supreme in the end! From beginning to end He is there towering far above everything and everyone. So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything fits it's proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe get properly fixed and fitted together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood poured out on the cross."

Wow. On thankful Tuesday I am thankful for His words to me written in a book for me to read whenever I want. I was reading my bible on one of our planes back from Niagara and I thought," I wonder how much longer bibles are going to be ok to read in places like this?!" I know that may sound weird but the bible says it won't be forever. It reminds me of my call to study, mediate, and memorize his word. Without it I am lost in this world that's for sure!

1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people!!

What are you thankful for today?
